Preparation of Sections:
Tissues are freshly harvested within 5 min and processed for embedding in paraffin or O.C.T. freezing medium. Tissue blocks
are cut at a thickness of
5-7 microns
(paraffin sections) or 7-10
microns (frozen sections) and mounted on slides treated for adherence.
Each slide contains 2 to 4 sections. Slides are shipped at room temperature (paraffin
sections) or on dry ice (frozen sections) and are good for up to one year
if stored properly.
Custom services: In addition to the routinely available
tissue sections, Zyagen also offers custom services for preparation of tissue
sections of any rat and mouse tissue of any strain in the client specification. Click
