Zyagen
offers paraffin and frozen sections for almost all rat and mouse tissues and
most major tissues of other species including human, dog, hamster, guinea pig,
rabbit, bovine, sheep, equine, pig, chicken, and monkey. Tissue sections are prepared
in RNase- and DNase-free environment
to fit the specific need of scientists from different research fields.

Preparation of Sections:
Tissues are freshly harvested and processed for embedding in paraffin or O.C.T. freezing medium. Tissue blocks
are sectioned at a thickness of
5-7 microns
(paraffin sections) or 7-10
microns (frozen sections) and mounted on slides treated for adherence.
Each slide contains 2 to 4 sections depending on the size of the sections. Slides are shipped at room temperature (paraffin
sections) or on dry ice (frozen sections) and are good for up to one year
if stored properly.
