tissue sections and tissue microarrays of any rat, mouse, or other species tissues in the client
specifications. Tissues are provided by Zyagen or the customer. The tissue sections and tissue microarrays are
prepared in RNase- and DNase-free environment and are suitable for in
situ hybridization, in situ PCR, and immunohistochemistry.
Tissue Sectioning service of any rat, mouse
or other species (Paraffin and frozen sections) includes:
Harvest tissues
Fix tissues in a fixative suitable for the
client
application and optimize concentration and incubation time of fixation.
Process and embedd tissues in paraffin for microtome
sectioning or O.C.T. medium for cryostat sectioning (frozen tissues).
Section tissue blocks at a thickness of 5-10
microns and mount on slides treated for adhesion.
Tissue microarrays service
(paraffin and frozen up to 24 different tissues per slide)
includes:
Harvest tissues.
Fix tissues in a fixative suitable for the
client
application and optimize concentration and incubation time of fixation.
Process and embedd tissues in paraffin for microtome
sectioning or O.C.T. medium for cryostat sectioning (frozen tissues).
Section tissue blocks at a thickness of 5-10 microns and
mount on slides coated for adhesion.
Tissue Sectioning service of brain at any
region (paraffin and
frozen sections) includes:
Harvest brains from rats or
mice at different age.
Fix tissues in a fixative suitable for the client
application and optimize concentration and incubation time of fixation.
Process and embedd tissues in paraffin for microtome
sectioning or O.C.T. freezing medium for cryostat sectioning.
Section brains in any orientation (coronal, sagittal, or horizontal) at a thickness of 5-10 microns. Sections are mounted on slides coated for adhesion
(at least 2 section per slide).
The paraffin and frozen tissue sections are ideal for in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry.
For thick floating sections, frozen tissues
are sectioned in any orientation at a thickness of 20 to 60 microns and
shipped in culture plates. Thick frozen sections are ready for floating immunostaining.
Tissue Sectioning service of whole mouse
and rat embryo at any embryonic stage (paraffin and frozen sections) includes:
Harvest whole embryos from precisely
time pregnant rats or mice.
Fix embryos in a fixative suitable for the
client application and optimize concentration and incubation time of fixation.
Process and embedd in paraffin for microtome
sectioning or in O.C.T. for cryosectioning in sagittal or coronal orientation.
Section embryos at a thickness of 5-10
microns and mount on slides treated for adhesion (2-4 sections per slide).

stage (mouse, from E9 to E18 and rat from E11 to E20).
