Zyagen offers high quality paraffin sections of CD1 (ICR) whole mouse embryos at different stages of pregnancy from E11 to E18 in sagittal orientation. Pregnancy of  mouse is precisely determined by observation of vaginal plug. Plug date is considered day one of gestation. Sagittal sections of whole mouse embryo are made close to the midline of each embryo so most major embryonic tissues/organs are showing in each section. Embryos are fixed in 4% paraformeldehyde or 10% neutral buffered formalin, embedded in paraffin blocks, and sectioned at a thickness of 5 microns. Sections are mounted on positively charged slides (2-3 sections per slide).
Paraffin sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers at room temperature and are good for one year if properly stored.
Applications: Paraffin tissue sections are prepared in RNase-, protease-free environment and are ideal for immunohistochemistry and  in situ hybridization.
Custom Research Services: If you are interested in paraffin tissue sections of any mouse embryo of any strain or require tissue sections to be specifically prepared to meet your application, please contact technical support at zinfo@zyagen.com or at 858 546 0720 for more information.
